In order to maximize the effective formulation of JDI Sugarcane Weed Management products, ensure the following recommendations:

Follow the dosage and mixing instructions as prescribed in the labels

As pre-emergent solution, ensure enough soil moisture to active the weed-killing formulation

Avoid herbicide application during rainy period and it is recommended to apply in the morning with enough sunlight

As an effective post-emergent weed management solution (8 to 30 days after planting), Jardine Distribution, Inc. recommends its most powerful and highly effective combination:

DIUKILL 80SC or OUTWEEDER 80WP for stubborn grasses and broadleaves plus AMINA for hard-to-kill type of broadleaves and sedges with the advanced surfactant and soil aerator properties of Transformer.

Good for 1 hectare land, mix in a 200L drum combination of 4 liters of Amina, 2 liters of either Diukill or Outweeder, and 250mL Transformer for power complete solution against wide range of different weeds. 

Depending on the topography, soil type, and farmer’s practice, it is recommended to apply pre-emergence herbicide to control damaging weeds at the early stage of sugarcane plant development.  This manner we are ensuring the proper utilization of nutrients of sugarcane plant at an early stage.

During the period of 2 to 7 days after planting, farmers can either use DIUKILL 80SC or OUTWEEDER 80WP as pre-emergent herbicide for wide range of grasses and broadleaves.

Diukill 80SC comes in an advanced liquid soluble concentrate formulation that effectively kills grasses and broadleaves with longer residual action compared to other herbicides.  Use 1.5 to 2L per hectare.

Outweeder 80WP, on the other hand, is a cost effective, high-quality wettable powder formulation herbicide that effectively used against wide range of grasses and broadleaves.  Use 1.5 to 2kg per hectare.

Soil pH level or soil acidity and alkalinity determines how sugarcane plant properly absorbs the right amount of nutrients coming from the soil.  For sugarcane plant to thrive, the recommended pH level for cultivation is within at range of 5.0 to 8.0 depending on soil type. 

If not properly managed, incorrect soil pH level can lead to the following:

Improper growth of critical bacteria and microorganisms that regulates decomposition of organic substances that are important to nitrogen flow in the soil.   

Improper nutrient absorption in the soil that is critical to sugarcane plant development

Abnormal growth and development of sugarcane plant and can lead to crop damage.

Acidic soils have low availability of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Sulfur causing deficiencies of these nutrients to plants. On the other hand, acidic soils have high availability of Iron, Manganese, Boron and Aluminum which are toxic to plants.  High Aluminum concentration in soils causes roots of plants to be stunted thereby affecting absorption of nutrients.

To ensure the proper growth of sugarcane plant during developmental stage in acidic soil conditions, Jardine Distribution, Inc. recommends its innovative soil conditioner product – LIMELITE. 

Limelite Soil Conditioner reduces the detrimental effects of acidic soils with its ionized Calcium formulation that quickly neutralizes the toxicities to plants caused by high Aluminum and Manganese content, enhances decomposition of organic matter, and ensures proper absorption of essential nutrients in the soil. 

Limelite Soil Conditioner quickly dissolves in water and conveniently packed in 40g sachet that in good for 16L knapsack sprayer. Use 12 sachets of Limelite for 1 hectare.  Apply 1-14 days after planting.
