Termite Protection

Preventive maintenance is necessary to keep your wood protected.

Soil treatment is the proactive prevention of termite infestation from the ground, up. Regular inspection is necessary to ensure that the termiticide barrier placed during pre-construction is maintained. Termite protection is also critical with new wood materials used in the house during renovation, expansion, redesign, or furnishing.

Leak & Waterproofing Problem

Waterproofing key parts of your house during preconstruction is critical to avoiding common water leakage problems later on. Susceptible to water leakage and seepage are basements, toilet and bath, firewall, and roof decks.

Signs of water leaks are damp walls and ceilings, musky odor, and peeling paint. Reasons for this could be poor workmanship, improper use of waterproofing products, drainage problems, water membranes crumbling from age, or poor planning and building designs. 

Roof, gutter, and downspout leaks are common problems at home.  Aside from being a nuisance during the rainy season, it can become a real threat if and when it affects structural components of the house.  You can prevent these leaks by applying elastomeric sealants during nstallation, maintaining the seals regularly is also key in preventing leaks.

Wood Preservation and Protection

Wood preservationis making sure that termites, wood-boring beetle, and wood fungi do not damage the wooden parts of your house or building. 

It is crucial that wooden house framing, door jambs, window frames, doors, and other wooden finishings, have protection at this stage. Proper treatment of bare wood (unvarnished, unpainted) is key to preservation and protection.  Wooden doors, in particular, will highly benefit from fire retardant treatment, raising its fire rating grade.
